Communication Design

Communication Design.
We had to choose 2 ancient cultures with an historic relationship: I chose the Viking and the Anglo-Saxon. Later we had to pick 3 symbols from each culture and make an interesting composition in black and white, I mean, positive and negative space...
Here are my final compositions for each culture. (Ink on Bristol)

Hairy demon with smoky hair

Two Pencil works

Two pencil works I did before coming to Ringling.

Drawings from the break

It's been a while since my last blog... Here is some of my winter break drawings.
Right now - I'm posting between classes! it's crazy to be back. Things changed very fast for me, but I will be fine. This last month I tried to focus on caricatures, character development and color studies.
Later ^_^

Digital Caricature

Trying new styles. Great first drawing for this break, I'm really happy with the result.

End of first semester :(

It's so weird. I have mix feelings about this break. I'm a bit sad to say goodbye to all the amazing people I met in school and happy to go home and see my family. Life sometimes crazy I guess...
It was a great first semester at Ringling, I feel that I have learned and improved a lot. Can't wait to start traditional animation (TA) next semester!

Now, I'm at the airport, waiting for my flight, thinking about stuff. I found this drawing on my laptop so I thought to share it. This drawing reminds me a fun memory.

Me and Eddie had to stage a pose for figure drawing class. We planned a month before to make something amazing. Unfortunately, it didn't work out and we had to improvise! In the end, it turned-out really well and we got a nice pose and lighting.

Have a great Winter break you all! Miss you!

The Thinking Monster!

I draw a cool sketch of a monster today... so I thought to try and do a digital painting out of it.
Was fun!

Kinematic!

It's kinda old but here we go...
3D design class - sculpture with movement!

Pointillism...

Homework I did for drawing class.
The second, I chose to draw an interesting, inspiring scene I found near the campus.
I used a new technique I never tried before - Pointillism. My hand is happy that this project is done. Anyway, learned a lot!!!

Figure Drawing

Our assignment for figure drawing class was to create a superhero/villain person with the pose we drew in class. So here is my figure drawing and the comic style version.
