Trying new styles. Great first drawing for this break, I'm really happy with the result.

End of first semester :(

It's so weird. I have mix feelings about this break. I'm a bit sad to say goodbye to all the amazing people I met in school and happy to go home and see my family. Life sometimes crazy I guess...
It was a great first semester at Ringling, I feel that I have learned and improved a lot. Can't wait to start traditional animation (TA) next semester!

Now, I'm at the airport, waiting for my flight, thinking about stuff. I found this drawing on my laptop so I thought to share it. This drawing reminds me a fun memory.

Me and Eddie had to stage a pose for figure drawing class. We planned a month before to make something amazing. Unfortunately, it didn't work out and we had to improvise! In the end, it turned-out really well and we got a nice pose and lighting.

I draw a cool sketch of a monster today... so I thought to try and do a digital painting out of it.

Pointillism...

Homework I did for drawing class.
The second, I chose to draw an interesting, inspiring scene I found near the campus.
I used a new technique I never tried before - Pointillism. My hand is happy that this project is done. Anyway, learned a lot!!!

Francis Vellego

A week ago, I went with Charles and Andrew to Francis Vallejo open house. Francis is such a cool guy and he's an amazing artist. Check out his blog, it's awesome.
It was fun to meet and talk with him. I got a few books (that I really wanted for a long time!),a mirror, and two of his drawings (with his signature!!!) Yesterday I found an interview with him on my favorite podcast show.

3D design class - first and second assignment

The first assignment was to build an insect from wires.
Here is my Black Spider with his new meal!

Second assignment - Plain and Edge.
We had to build (with any material we want) a life size body part.
The main rule was to make it with sharp plain pieces...
I choose to make an artist's hand drawing his new creation.
I used a cardboard to do it.

Ringling Bloging

So after many thoughts about it... I will try to post here and update this blog with recent works.

And maybe a thought or two. maybe also some links... we will see.

Two months ago, I started to study at Ringling College of Art and Design, in Florida.
